What we bring concrete for
If it's poured on the ground and something gets built on top of it, it probably belongs here.
- House slabs on new homes
- Garage, shed and workshop slabs
- Footers for block walls, additions and porches
- Foundation pours for builders and masons
The ground under the slab
Brevard sits mostly on sand. Sand digs easily and drains well, but loose sand settles under weight. Under a slab, the fill should be compacted before the forms are set. On new construction your builder or engineer usually decides how that's done and whether it gets tested.
Rain changes things too. A pad that's been sitting through a week of summer storms can be soft and rutted on top. Walk it before pour day.
Inspections come first
Many slab and footer pours need an inspection before any concrete goes in. Inspectors look at things like the forms, the reinforcement and how deep the footers are. Whether yours needs one depends on the permit, and your city's building department or Brevard County can tell you.
Book the pour after the inspection is on the calendar. If it slips, call us as soon as you know and we'll find another day.

Pour day in summer
Concrete sets faster when it's hot. On a summer slab, start early, and have the crew and the tools ready before the first concrete comes down the chute. If a storm is building, moving the pour is usually smarter than rushing it.

Questions people ask
Can you deliver concrete for a house slab?
Yes. We bring site-mixed concrete for house slabs, along with garage and shed slabs, footers and foundations. Send the plans or the slab dimensions when you call.
What if the slab takes more concrete than planned?
That happens, especially where the ground under the slab isn't dead level. The truck mixes as the pour goes, so our driver can keep going.
Do I need an inspection before the pour?
Often, yes. It depends on the permit. Check with your city's building department or Brevard County before you schedule.
